AND IT TURNED OUT FANTASTIC!!
okay! so i headcanon tikal as an ethnic enigma like knuckles (def mayan and african) and as a trans!lady because i can see knuckles' tribe having a laxer gender binary (a la two-spirit/third gender people.. if i'm using those terms right PLEASE CORRECT ME IF I'M NOT)

OKAY-O, a BIG note just in case because fandom in general tends to be VERY shitty about these kind of interpretations.

Language like "tr*nny/ie", "shem*le", "why did you make her a man?" is TRANSPHOBIC. Not only is it rude as all hell to use it when presented with a trans* interpretation, it's right there with terms "n***er" or "f*g" that have WAY to much upsetting history and meaning behind them towards certain groups of people and I DO NOT want to make any potential or regular viewers of my art feel unsafe or unwanted when this kind of language is thrown around.

Sonic fandom doesn't seem to have the same kneejerk reaction regarding unconventional headcanons, so I just want to put a heads up just for anyone who might be ignorant to the meanings behing the above kind of terms.
